How do Meal Plans work? The meal plan at Tulane is one of the most flexible plans available. It is a Carte Blanche plus Greenbuck$ system that allows contract students to treat Bruff Commons Dining Room (Bruff) as their refrigerator. With this option, students may eat as much and as often as they wish during the hours Bruff is open. Your Tulane ID Card serves as your meal card.
What is the most popular meal plan option? The most popular meal plan is the Carte Blanche + 400. This option offers the most flexibility with unlimited access to Bruff Commons Dining Room as well as Greenbuck$ to dine outside of the Dining Room at retail locations around campus.
I have special dietary needs. Do you have anything I can eat? Whether you are a vegetarian, vegan, observe kosher dietary laws, or other health-related issues, Tulane University Dining Services can help make sure you always have something to eat. What are Greenbuck$ and how do I use them? Greenbuck$ are actually retail dollars built into the various meal plans. For example, if you purchase the Carte Blanche plus 400 meal plan, your card is credited with 400 tax free dollars per semester to spend at any of the Tulane University Dining Services retail locations, such as the Lavin-Bernick Center Food Court, the Drawing Board, Le Gourmet, Der Rathskeller, and Reily Smoothie Bar.

If a student is on a Carte Blanche meal plan and runs out of Greenbuck$, the student may upgrade to the next Carte Blanche meal plan in order to capture additional Greenbuck$ or retail dollars.
