Located in the Lavin-Bernick Center (LBC) for University Life, our sophisticated faculty staff dining room, the 1834 Club, awaits you. Whether you are looking for a location for business lunch meeting, fine dining with peers or simply a pleasant place to dine, the 1834 Club appeals to the entire Tulane faculty and staff community. This contemporary retreat overlooks the LBC quad on Tulane’s uptown campus and is adorned with quilted artwork that recognizes the philanthropic efforts of the universities who contributed to our recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The menus change daily and offer two choices of entrée, as well as, a starch, green salad, prepared salad, vegetable and dessert. Some favorite entrees include Crab Cakes with Creole Aioli, Steak au Poivre, Bronzed Salmon and Roasted Garlic Breast of Chicken. Door price is $8.50 per person. To receive $1 off the door price as well as eliminate the need to carry cash, sign-up for a Faculty/ Staff meal plan by visiting the Meal Plan and Vending Office at 111 Bultler House or by calling (504) 865-5712.
